Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and families, resulting in strong families for Kentucky. This multidisciplinary field focuses on building assets of individuals and families to address the perennial problems faced across the lifespan.
Our link to the University of Kentucky provides research-based information to guide our work. In addition we maintain a grassroots framework to identify local community needs through the help of our county program advisory councils.
